Wandering Seattle

I love exploring cities, the bits where people really live and spend their time, well away from the throngs of tourists. I like getting coffee from independent coffee shops and food that is made fresh and using local, seasonal produce.

We lucked out completely in Seattle as we spent Sunday wandering around Ballard and Fremont. Both districts hold their markets on a Sunday so the community was out in force and we were able to sample some of the freshest produce around.

Once we had exhausted the markets and said “hello” to the Fremont Troll we took a walk over the hill to the Queen Anne district from where we could marvel at the skyline and the beautiful natural harbour.
